Pharmacy owners, locums, GP practice teams, market analysts, researchers, and enterprise groups who need fast benchmarks without building a private data warehouse. Organisation-level analytics only — not patient records.

Pharmacy data spans England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, and Guernsey — with honest coverage notes when a leaderboard metric is not yet available. GP leaderboards and profiles cover England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Metrics are loaded from official NHS and nation-specific publications through our analytics pipeline. We standardise contractor names, geography, and periods for search and charts — we do not alter the underlying published values.

NHS payment and activity figures usually appear two to three months after the reporting month while claims are processed. Scotland publishes some datasets quarterly, so the latest period can lag further. Every table and profile shows its loaded period — that label is what you should cite.

When the pipeline ingests a new NHS release — typically monthly for England pharmacy dispensing, with Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland following their own calendars. Historical months stay on profiles for trend analysis.

We mirror official publications. Figures can revise for several months after a period closes. For critical decisions, cross-check the period label on screen and verify independently. Report issues via /contact with the contractor code, nation, metric, and period.

England contractor dispensing reports items dispensed, Pharmacy First, NMS, EPS nominations, and related service lines. Scotland contractor activity uses paid items, Pharmacy First payments, and MCR (Medicines Care and Review) payments. Similar concepts, different NHS systems — compare within nation, not across mixed definitions.

NHSBSA reports both prescription items and professional fees. One prescription can count as a single item but generate multiple fee lines when multiple products or flavours are claimed separately. Leaderboards default to items for like-for-like pharmacy comparison because items better reflect prescription volume.

An NHS community pharmacy service for minor illness consultations and treatments without a GP appointment. England tracks condition-level Pharmacy First activity in contractor dispensing data; Scotland reports Pharmacy First payments in contractor activity.

An England-only consultation service helping patients starting new medicines. Pharmacies receive NMS fees when eligible consultations are claimed. NMS counts appear on England pharmacy profiles and leaderboards where published.

A Scotland service for structured medication review. Contractor activity data includes MCR payments; Scotland pharmacy leaderboards can rank on related metrics where available.

Nation-specific boards rank pharmacies or GP practices by a chosen metric (items dispensed, list size, payments, EPS nominations, and more). Period labels match the loaded NHS release. Tap a row to open the full profile.

Yes — use Compare on pharmacy profiles to add contractors to a side-by-side board. GP compare is available on the GP compare route. Comparisons use the same published period returned by the analytics API.

Signed-in users can save pharmacies and GP practices to a personal watchlist from profile pages for quick return visits. Limits may apply by plan when billing is enabled.

PharmIQ brings PharmAnalyser's pharmacy data into ChatGPT and Claude. Connect your PharmAnalyser account, then ask natural-language questions to find pharmacies and, on Pro and Enterprise plans, explore organisation profiles and NHS dispensing trends.

Yes. Registration is required. Some profile sections and tools (nearby locations, inspections, prescription sources, watchlists) need you to be signed in. We do not offer anonymous access to gated analytics.

During free launch, registered users can explore core NHS analytics without a paid subscription. Paywalled modules will activate when billing is switched on — see your dashboard for current access. Enterprise groups use contract-led access on app.pharmanalyser.co.uk.

Organisation-level NHS data is widely used for market and academic analysis when aligned with the original publication terms. Cite the period label shown on PharmAnalyser and verify critical figures independently before publishing.
