We make published NHS pharmacy data useful.
PharmAnalyser joins up official NHS, regulator and company data on pharmacies and GP practices across the UK, so the people who run, buy, supply and plan pharmacies can understand them, compare them fairly and find where to grow.

Why PharmAnalyser
The data was always public. Using it wasn't.
NHS bodies in each nation regularly publish what every pharmacy dispensed, which services it delivered and which GP practices its prescriptions came from. Regulators publish inspections, Companies House publishes ownership and the ONS publishes geography.
But it arrives as dozens of separate releases, in different formats, on different schedules and with different definitions in each nation. Answering a simple question, like how one pharmacy is really doing, can take days of spreadsheets.
PharmAnalyser does that work once, keeps it up to date, and puts it on one page for each pharmacy and GP practice.

Official sources only
Every figure comes from a named public publication and carries its period. We standardise names, codes and geography, but we never change a published value.
Organisations, not patients
We analyse pharmacies and GP practices. We never see prescriptions, patient records or pharmacy till data.
Fair comparisons
Benchmarks use pharmacies matched on volume, deprivation and local competition, and compare within each nation's own definitions.
Honest about gaps
When a nation doesn't publish a measure, we say so rather than fill the gap. The period label on each page is the one to cite.

Methodology
How fresh is it, and how right?
- Loaded as it's published. England's monthly dispensing usually appears two to three months after the month it covers. Some Scottish data is quarterly, and Wales and Northern Ireland follow their own calendars.
- Weekly where it's weekly. EPS nominations in England update every week.
- Revisions happen. Publishers can revise figures for several months after a period closes, so check the period label before you cite a number.
- Openly licensed. NHS and government data is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

What is PharmAnalyser?
A UK analytics platform for NHS pharmacy and GP practice data at organisation level. You can search any pharmacy or practice, open its profile, compare it with others, follow rankings and changes, build reports, and ask questions through PharmIQ in ChatGPT and Claude.
Who is it for?
Anyone who needs reliable pharmacy and GP benchmarks without building a data warehouse: pharmacy owners and groups, buyers, brokers and valuers, suppliers and wholesalers, locums, GP practice teams, LPCs, ICBs and researchers.
Where does the data come from?
Official publications from NHSBSA and NHS England, Public Health Scotland, NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership and HSC Business Services Organisation, plus the GPhC and PSNI registers, Companies House and the ONS. We standardise names, codes, geography and periods, but we don't change the published values.
How up to date is it?
As up to date as each publisher. EPS nominations are weekly. England's dispensing is monthly and usually appears two to three months after the month it covers. Some Scottish data is quarterly, and Wales and Northern Ireland follow their own calendars. Every page shows the period it covers.
Do you hold patient data?
No. PharmAnalyser analyses organisation-level data about pharmacies and GP practices. It never sees prescriptions, patient records or pharmacy till data.
How accurate is it?
We mirror the official publications, which can be revised for several months after a period closes. Check the period label, verify critical figures independently, and tell us if something looks wrong. We'll trace it back to the source.
Can I use it for research or commercial work?
Organisation-level NHS data is widely used for both, in line with each publication's terms. Most of it is published under the Open Government Licence. Cite the period shown on PharmAnalyser and verify critical figures independently.
Is PharmAnalyser free?
Searching and headline figures are free. Plus and Pro add the full profile sections and tools, and Enterprise is a contract for groups and organisations. Reports come with included sections; Advanced sections are priced per report and cost less on higher plans. See pricing for current prices.
